Emily Blunt and John Krasinski served up family cuteness at the US Open.
The couple made a rare public appearance with their daughters, Hazel, 10, and Violet, 7, at the 2024 US Open women's final Sept. 7. The family of four sat front row as Aryna Sabalenka beat Jess Pegula in straight sets to claim the winner's trophy.
Blunt and Krasinski, who tied the knot back in 2010, adorably took turns holding their younger daughter in their laps throughout the match. They were photographed chatting with their daughters and one another as they reacted to the action on the court.
Krasinski, 44, wore an olive green sweater and black Boston Red Sox hat, while Blunt, 41, opted for a black blouse and black baseball hat. Both wore glasses for the casual outing.
While the family infrequently makes public outings all together, they previously turned did also attend the 2023 US Open into a family outing.
Still, while Krasinski and Blunt generally keep their daughters out of the spotlight, the girls have proven to be pivotal sources of inspiration. Take, for instance, The Office alum’s latest film, If, which he wrote and directed.
"I would watch my kids disappear every day into this magical [world] that Emily and I aren't invited into," he told E! News on May 13. "And it was COVID, because I saw their lights starting to dwindle. I could see they were playing fewer and fewer imaginary games, and they started asking big questions and they were letting the world in."
He continued, "I said, 'Emily oh my god, that's the definition of growing up. They're deciding whether or not they should let go of childhood.' And I went, 'No. You don't have to make that decision. That magical world you created is there for you always, you can always go back.'"
Of course, Blunt and Krasinski weren’t the only stars who turned up during the final matches of the U.S. Open. One day later, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce turned up to cheer on Taylor Fritz as he took on Jannis Sinner, the latter of whom ultimately won the match.
But while the Krasinskis didn’t cross paths with the “Karma” singer at the tennis tournament, Blunt previously shared insight into Hazel’s starstruck meeting with Taylor.
"She's the nicest," the Fall Guy actress gushed on the April 29 episode of Howard Stern. "She was so nice to my kids. My oldest kid has just cut all of her hair off, this very short haircut that she was very self-conscious about. And Taylor Swift, goes like, ‘God, look at you, you're just this ‘60s Beatnik cool kid. I love your style.'"
"I thought my child was going to faint," she added. "It was the best thing anyone has done for my child."
